This position is for volunteers interested in helping with general duties for our Intake program and assisting the Intake Coordinators on various tasks as assigned. These duties are crucial to the flow and needs of our intake program and ensure our companion animals are available for adoption in a timely manner. This volunteer will be responsible for duties including: restocking intake supplies, cleaning the Intake office, cleaning kennel cards and folders, cleaning out the HSC van after use, helping unload animals from transport, setting up kennels, and more! Volunteers interested in this position will be required to attend at least 1 training session to learn about proper cleaning protocol, disease management, kennel cleaning, and other admin duties.
Meet-up spot at the location: Volunteers will meet an Intake Coordinator in the front Lobby of the Adoptions side of the building for their first shift.
Qualifications: Must complete 1 training session for Intake Admin & Cleaning. The volunteer must not have any known allergies towards cats or dogs and must be comfortable handling and interacting with dogs and cats of a variety of temperaments as needed. Must have week day availability between 10am-4:30pm
