Summer Camp Assistants are needed for the success of our program!!
Summer camps are a great experience for children ages 5-14 to enjoy a safe environment to learn about animals, animal welfare, practice kindness and empathy, and of course to HAVE FUN!
Volunteers will assist with check in/check out of campers and be fully engaged in activities and lessons. We also bring in shelter dogs and cats to meet with children. (Let me us know if you are a trained dog walker as that will be very helpful). Some camper behavior management may be needed to support the staff.
Ideally volunteers will sign up for the entire week, but if you're only available for the day that's okay too. If you have any questions about shifts, please contact Emily Strongin, estrongin@humanecharlotte.org.
*Camp weeks run Monday-Friday. 9am-4pm with 15 campers' total.
