Training shifts for Ringworm Cat Kennel Cleaning and Socialization

This position is for volunteers interested in enriching the lives of our ringworm cats and ensuring they have a clean space to recover medically during their stay at HSC. Enrichment is a crucial element in maintaining the welfare of our animals, especially those that are quarantined in isolation for longer periods of time like our ringworm cats.

The Ringworm Cat Kennel Cleaning & Socialization Volunteer will be in charge of cleaning the kennels for and socializing with each of our ringworm cats. Volunteers interested in this position will be required to attend a training session to learn about proper cleaning protocol, disease management and appropriate forms of socialization for our ringworm cats.

Qualifications: Must not have any allergies towards cats or aversions to wearing PPE. *Please note: ringworm is a zoonotic disease and is contagious to both humans and other animals so sanitary protocols must be followed extremely accurately for this position*

Volunteers will meet in the adoption lobby to begin their shift!
