Dog Kennel Housekeeping

Dedicated and committed volunteers to assist Animal Care Associates in keeping kennels clean and sanitary for the betterment of the animals in our care.

You will report to the dog intake room behind the Essential Care Clinic (the glass on the door states Clinic Intake). Animal Care staff will train you and assist!  Animal care staff will be in the blue staff t-shirts.

*This is for kennel cleaning only and not part of the dog walking training*

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Clean kennels to maintain sanitation and health of the animals (this includes poop scooping, bending to lift beds/bedding, bowls, toys, etc.).

• Sanitizing food bowls, toys, water bowls.

• Sanitizing beds/bedding.

• Assist Animal Care Associates with other required duties such as cleaning beds, windows, and floors.

Volunteers will report to HSC Animal Care Associates.

*If front doors are locked you can enter through the clinic lobby (M-F) or come to the staff door near the clinic and knock for a staff member to let you in. 

Support provided:

-Equipment will be provided that permits safe handling and disposal of animal waste products (that is, poop). Disposable gloves provided.

-Animal Care Associates will provide day of training.
